Founded in 1825 in Paris where she experienced many vicissitudes, many successors and many move, CBG Mignot has, since its inception, been the largest French manufacturer of toy soldiersStart with simple tin smelter, the company manufactured all kinds of objects (arm dolls, tea parties, whistles, ...as evidenced by some ancestral moldalways religiously preserved.

Established since 1994 in Anjou, near Saumur, the company continues to carry on the tradition of toy soldiers. Each figure is still casting up and carefully painted by hand using ancestral processes with knowledge and know-how.

This traditional aspect that no figure is similar to another and each of them is, somehow, an original.

The letters "C", "B" and "G" that form the company name are the initials of the founders, MMCuperlyBlondel and Gerbeau.

In 1825, Augustin Cuperlythen aged 25met Mr. Blondel, at the time it creates its tin smelting companyFrom 1832Mr. Blondel began making his first figuresMr. Cuperly, its side makes and sells in his shop all kinds of toys and games tin (dinettes, toy cars, toy soldiers, including those of Blondel). In 1847, the two men join forces to Mr. Sosthenes Gerbeau to found the "CBG(nine years earlier, Mr. Cuperly married the daughter of Mr. Blondel). This association held until 1865, when Mr. Cuperly retiresMr. Gerbeau then left alone CBG directorbefore taking him to his sonMauricein 1889. The company takes the name of "Gerbeau & son."

In 1928, the company - which celebrated its centenary three years earlier - merged with the competitor always "Lucotte!" The new company is called "Properties CBG-Toys." On this occasion, both the son of Henry Mignot joined the management.

In 1965, the death of Henri Mignot is his daughter, Mrs. Bontemps, who succeeded him until the "CBG establishments" are bought in 1977 by the company Remnants. Success is waiting for you the first time but due to mismanagement and strategic choices, the company had to close its doors in 1992.

The story should have ended there and that's probably what would have happened without the intervention of two men, lovers of toy soldiers in general and in particular CBG Mignot, revolted at the idea that heritage this secular society can go abroad, as thinking let the rumors of the time. This is MM. Pemzec and Grand-Dufay, two sixties to more than respectable career paths that do not see, in the revival of CBG Mignot, any possibility of personal benefit (other than sentimental), but rather an opportunity to revive and continue their passion and ancestral heritage of society. In 1994, the two men embark on the difficult conquest of CBG Mignot whose assets (molds, machinery, stock, museum) was dispersed two years earlier when closing. By dint of obstinacy, they manage to get back on track with the company did not give a lot more expensive, they were convinced of the tremendous enthusiasm that create the upturn. Unfortunately, in 2001, Mr. Grand-Dufay died and Mr. Pemzec left alone at the head of CBG Mignot, until 2006 when, aged 74, he decided to give a new boost manufacturing and marketing figures "Lucotte" creating his company of the same name. He leaves on this occasion the reins of CBG to his son, Loïc.
