The Swedish Army

Lifeguard Dragon is the only Mounted music Band in the Armed Forces. The musical Band ride first in the busy guard parade through Stockholm to the castle.

The music Band is stationed at Livgardet's cavalry center in Stockholm, where the Guard have about 90 horses. The music Band consists of blowers and percussionists. Dragon Band play both on horse and foot

The Drumhorses, here, have a prominent role at the front of the lead as the stately bearers of the drums and the Kettledrummer when the Guard army walks out on the streets of the city.

In the picture, Ketteldrummer, Shirehästen Tor

90mm Mounted Model Soldiers

All the figures are made from white metal and are available as unpainted kit, castings all with painting instructions and colour photo, they can also be supplied fully hand painted in matt.

Diorama builders and wargamers should check out Tradition Scandinavia’s unpainted 25 and 30-mm figures. They cover a broad swath of history with common soldiers and lofty personalities like France’s Napoleon Bonaparte.

The 30-mm figures are noteworthy for featuring designs by the likes of Charles C. Stadden (Andrew’s father), Clive Knight, Holger Eriksson and David Scheinmann.

In addition, Tradition Scandinavia has been producing the Willie line of 30-mm figures since buying the business from Edward Suren in 1985.
