Jens Mikkelsen was born in Jutland year 1621st, Jens begin a career in the Danish Army management. As a 25-year-old, he bursar of the Danish king.

Christian IV with the investment in Scania. He do a good job and when he is 36 years old will He offered to move to Norway to be Chief Judge. He chooses to stay in Skåne. He is now married and has two children. This happens year 1657th. But a year later, the Peace of Roskilde. Skane is Swedish. What will he choose?

Now there are no positions that are waiting in Denmark or Norway. He realizes that the Swedish administration will need people with his knowledge of Scania. He chooses to swear the King of allegiance and become Swedish. This was perfectly legal under the provisions of Roskilde peace. Otherwise, he had been forced to leave his post and move to Denmark.

He knows that many of his Skåne and Danish colleagues think he chose the wrong path. In the years working with Jens success in the Swedish government. When he has has become little more than 40 years he begins to discuss his future with the Swedish government. He has left financial assets in Denmark. How should he put them?
